Give your child the gift of early dentistry!

First appointment: We recommend that your child be seen for their first dental visit around the age of two, once all of their primary teeth are erupted.  If there is an older sibling or friend who is accustomed to visiting the dentist, it can be helpful for an apprehensive child to watch an exam/cleaning visit before their own.

Preventive Measures: In addition to the regular exams and cleanings we all need, children’s teeth need other preventive measures.  Ask our doctors if your child would benefit from these protective services.

Fluoride: Young teeth need extra protection.  Acids produced from many of the foods we ingest as a young person will damage the enamel of our teeth.  Fluoride is a natural occurring element which can strengthen the enamel of our teeth.  This is applied quickly and easily after a cleaning is done.

Sealants: This protective coating fills in the cracks and crevices of our teeth, helping to make brushing easier and prevent a cavity from starting.

We look forward to helping your child begin a journey that will lead them to continued dental health!
