Doctor Andrew Smith
Dr. Andrew Smith is a true local having been raised his entire life in Los Banos. He attended Los Banos High School and after graduation received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis. Dr. Andy earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of The Pacific School of Dentistry (UOP) in San Francisco in 1994, where he graduated with honors. Upon graduation he immediately set up his practice in Los Banos where his roots run very deep.
Dr. Andy is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Yosemite Dental Society. He has completed certification in invisalign and continues his post doctorate studies through varying continuation courses.
When Dr. Andy is not practicing dentistry he spends his time coaching his son’s sports teams, traveling, cooking and doing home improvement projects.
Doctor Carolyn Alyanakian-Smith
Dr. Carolyn Alyanakian-Smith spent her early childhood in the Boston area. Her family relocated to Los Banos when she was in elementary school. She attended Los Banos High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis. Dr. Carolyn earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in 1996 with honors. She joined her husband practicing in Los Banos immediately following dental school.
Dr. Carolyn is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Yosemite Dental Society. She volunteers her time doing dental screenings and educational presentations at our local schools and health fairs and enjoys continuing her post doctoral studies through continuation courses.
When Dr. Carolyn is not practicing dentistry she enjoys coaching her daughter’s softball team, reading, traveling, volunteering at her children’s school and training her family dog.
Our doctors are husband and wife and have two children and a golden retriever they are raising in Los Banos.
Both doctors Carolyn and Andy take every opportunity to enrich the lives of our local youth, and are proud to support local organizations that promote education and healthy lifestyle choices. It has been our pleasure to provide sponsorships for and/or donate to: Los Banos Parks and Recreation, Los Banos Little League, Police Activities League, CASA of Merced County, Cathie’s Bears, Valley Children’s Hospital, American Cancer Association, American Heart Association, New Bethany Residential Care Facility, Toys for Tots, Los Banos Arts Council, Los Banos Unified School District, Our Lady of Fatima, Los Banos 4-H, Los Banos FFA, Merced County Spring Fair and Heritage Committee, and others. We truly appreciate all that these organizations do for our community!
